With the patronage of Ministero della Gioventù, Accaemia Albertina, Città di Torino, Regione
Piemonte Cultural association Alfavì, in the context of Cronosfera Project, in collaboration with Sincronie calls all the videomakers and audiovisual researchers to create, shaping image and sound, works that pass through us to imagine IRIDESCENT WORLDS.
The festival and the competition’s entry form articulate in the two sections:
VIDEO (short film, videoart, computer art): that will be screened at Cinema Massimo on may 28
2010 and replied the folling two days at Hiroshima Mon Amour.
LIVE MEDIA : audiovisual performances that will be held on may29 and 30 at Hiroshima Mon
Amour.
Cultural association Alfavì has conceived and realized in in the Middle Age settlement of Cavatore
(AL), the Cronosfera Festival, an event dedicated to art, science and science fiction, and the international competition Visions from the Future as an important section of the Festival.
After the first edition in 2008, dedicated to past, present and future imagined in a sci-fi context, for
this second edition Visions from the Future turns bright looks to the earth and the sky inspired by
cosmological and cosmogonic visions, explores the alchemy of our earth, our history, the social
evolution, spirituality and the mysteries surrounding man.
Visions from the Future 2008 has heightened from Italy and abroad, a great variety of high quality
videos, in technique and content, from short films to animation, that displaced an intense and
mutating visionary imagery.
The catalogue of the event is available in bookshops, libraries and foundations all over Europe and
can be requested through the website.
